IPTV in Delhi NCR: one house, several floors

A builder floor in South Delhi or a family kothi in Rohini has a different problem from a Mumbai flat: distance. With concrete between floors and a TV in every room, the real work is getting a good signal to the set.

How to plan Wi-Fi in a multi-storey home

  1. Start where the main TV lives

Put the router near the TV you use most and connect it by cable. Everything else can follow from there.

  2. Add a mesh point per floor

One router rarely gets through two concrete floors. A mesh point on each floor is usually better than a costlier broadband plan.

  3. Test each TV separately

Run a speed test from each room at 9 pm. The weakest room is the one to fix first.

  4. Ask about multiple screens

If several TVs will be on at once, tell us before you buy, so we can tell you what your plan allows.

Who we hear from

Typical homes across the NCR

These are example situations, not customer reviews.

Three generations under one roof

Grandparents on the ground floor, a young family above. The trick is favourites lists for each TV, so nobody has to scroll past someone else’s channels.

A new society flat in Noida or Gurugram

The building’s fibre is usually good. Check that your flat’s router is not inside a wiring cabinet, as it often is by default.

A student in North Campus

A PG room with shared Wi-Fi, where a phone or laptop and a one-month plan make more sense than anything fixed.

Delhi NCR questions

Can I use one plan on TVs on different floors?

You can install it on more than one TV in your household, but how many can play at the same time depends on your plan. Ask us before you buy, and we will tell you what applies.

Is a costlier broadband plan the answer?

Often it is not. If your speed test is fine beside the router but poor in the TV room, the issue is coverage. Mesh points or a cable will solve that where a bigger plan will not.

I already have DTH. Should I remove it?

There is no rush. Many homes keep it while testing IPTV, particularly for older family members who are used to it. You can make up your mind once you have tried both.
