The TV in your pocket

IPTV on Android phones, tablets and boxes

India is an Android country, and your phone is the easiest place to start. Use it to test your connection before you touch the TV.

Four steps on any Android device

  1. Check your Android version

Under Settings, then About phone. A reasonably up-to-date version will run most players without trouble.

  2. Install from Google Play

Install the player we name. Please avoid APK files from websites you do not know, as they can carry malware.

  3. Enter your login

Copy and paste from our WhatsApp message instead of typing. It avoids the most common mistakes.

  4. Play something for two minutes

Try a live channel over Wi-Fi. If it runs smoothly, you know that your login and your internet are fine.

Know your device

Phone, tablet or box: what changes

Phone

Best for travel, a hostel or a quick look at the score. Casting to a TV works in many apps if both are on the same Wi-Fi.

Tablet

A good second screen in the kitchen or the bedroom. It is also handy for children, though you may want to set a PIN on adult categories.

Android TV box

Connects to any TV with HDMI. Choose a certified box with Google Play. Unbranded “fully loaded” boxes can be unsafe, so we advise against them.

Watching on mobile data

It will work, but video uses a lot of data. On a daily data pack, an hour or two can use up your whole allowance. These are rough guides, and they vary by channel and app.

  • Wi-Fi first, whenever you can get it
  • Choose a lower quality, if your app offers one
  • Check how much you have used in your phone’s settings
